Given my engineering background, I am often asked how I got into commercial real estate. The expandability aspect made it a no-brainer! When approaching an investor, it's important to understand their needs, how we can solve their problems, and which problems we can and can't solve. Why not solve the problem that people care about the most? Everyone cares about housing. It's generally the largest expense and it’s something people put a lot of effort into. In addition to the personal satisfaction that comes from knowing I'm helping others, I also believe that multifamily real estate is simply a smart investment. With more units comes more potential for income, and with greater income potential comes less risk. It's a win-win for everyone involved.
In multifamily real estate, we have an opportunity to increase the quality of life for so many people. We can provide safe and affordable housing for families, individuals, and seniors. We can create jobs and help to revitalize neighborhoods which will have a positive impact on the surrounding community. This then allows those people to do whatever it is that they do best. They can come home and know their housing needs are met and they can focus on being great at all the other stuff they do. We do all of this while also generating income for our investors. That's why I'm in this business - because I believe in its potential to make a difference in the world.
